About me

I preformed my first wedding ceremony at 11. It was in my front yard, to two of my neighbour friends. It was quite the spectacle, 6 bridesmaids, a cake, a videographer. All the neighbours and their dogs attended. The bride and groom, also 11, had wanted to solidify their best friendship status and we decided a wedding was the best option. It was the early 2000’s, the vibes were high. Honestly, I didn’t think about it again until 20 years later, when that once neighbourhood bridesmaid, now close friend, asked me to officiate her actual wedding. This time neither of us wore outfits fashioned from pool towels, held together with pegs.

I’ve always been a story teller.

I was a child actor, turned filmmaker, turned writer. I have spent the better part of my life creating worlds. Taking people on journeys. Writing endless words. So when my friend asked me to write and officiate her ceremony it was a no brainer. Who could tell her story better than me. So I became a marriage celebrant. And as fate goes, one wedding turned into two, which then steamrolled us to today.

The thrill of standing with a couple on one of their most important days, is like no other. It is a privilege to tell your stories, to create something meaningful, something timeless.
